The American Dream is made real by Billy Bridgforth. For he is no ordinary farmer. He succeeded against extraordinary odds. When you consider that his great-grandfather was a freed slave, you can start to understand just how far he’s come. And for us, it was a privilege to tell his story.
Billy’s tale is one of great achievement and yet equal humility. We created a script that enabled Billy to convey his story generation by generation, enlightening as to how times have changed, and how he and his family have adapted to succeed. We adopted a real-world approach to magnify the humanity of the story, and yet selected a number of different shooting techniques to encompass the magnitude of his achievements. An inspiring tale, well told.
